Overhead Garage Ceiling Storage Rack 120 x 60 cm, Adjustable Drop 55 - 100 cm

The space above the car is the biggest empty storage area in most garages. This ceiling rack turns it into a 120 x 60 cm deck for camping kit, seasonal decorations, suitcases and lidded storage boxes, all kept off the floor and away from the car doors. Four steel drop-down posts let you set the deck anywhere from 55 to 100 cm below the ceiling, so it can clear the bonnet or sit high above a roof box, and the steel wire-grid deck lets you see what is up there from below. The matt black powder coat matches the rest of the Rovellaf range.

Specification

Care

Dust the powder-coated steel now and then and wipe it with a damp cloth. Every six months check that the ceiling or wall fixings are still tight and that every locking pin or hook is fully seated; re-tighten anything that has worked loose before you load the storage again. Touch up any chips in the coating with metal paint.

Safety

Fix the rack only into solid timber ceiling joists or solid concrete, never into plasterboard alone, and check for hidden cables and pipes with a detector before drilling. Installation needs two adults and a stable step ladder. Keep within the stated load rating, spread the weight across the whole deck, keep it clear of garage-door tracks and moving parts, and never hang from or climb on the rack.
