200 cm Heavy-Duty Workbench with 40 mm Rubberwood Top and 4-Drawer Cabinet

The bench for a proper garage workshop: two metres of thick rubberwood worktop with room for a vice, a mitre saw and a project all at once. The 40 mm solid top sits on a heavy steel frame rated to 600 kg, so engine parts, a pillar drill or a pile of timber are no problem. A built-in four-drawer steel cabinet under the right-hand end keeps hand tools, drill bits and fixings organised on ball-bearing slides, and the long lower shelf takes toolboxes and cases. Slate-blue drawers with brushed aluminium handles match the Rovellaf garage storage range.

Specification

Care

The rubberwood worktop is a solid hardwood finished with a clear oil. Brush off shavings after work and wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth; do not leave standing water, solvents or glue on the wood. Re-oil the top with a worktop or hardwood oil once or twice a year, or after sanding out deep marks. Wipe the powder-coated steel with a damp cloth and mild soap and dry it.

Safety

Place the workbench on a flat, level floor and adjust the feet so it does not rock. Spread heavy loads across the worktop and keep within the stated load rating; do not stand or sit on the bench. Clamp workpieces securely before cutting or drilling. Assembly needs two adults; wear gloves, as sheet-steel edges can be sharp.
