Wall-Mounted Folding Workbench 110 x 50 cm with Rubberwood Top

For a single garage where the car has to fit, a narrow shed or a utility room, a folding bench gives you a solid worktop only when you need one. Lift the front edge and the two steel brackets swing out and lock, giving you a 110 x 50 cm rubberwood worktop for repairs, potting and small woodwork; when you are done it folds down flat against the wall and sticks out only about 12 cm. The matt black steel wall frame spreads the load across the wall, and the worktop takes up to 120 kg once both brackets are locked.

Specification

Care

The rubberwood worktop is a solid hardwood finished with a clear oil. Brush off shavings after work and wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth; do not leave standing water, solvents or glue on the wood. Re-oil the top with a worktop or hardwood oil once or twice a year, or after sanding out deep marks. Wipe the powder-coated steel with a damp cloth and mild soap and dry it.

Safety

Fix the bench only to a solid masonry wall or into timber studs with fixings suited to your wall. Check for hidden cables and pipes with a detector before drilling. Make sure both support brackets are fully locked before you put any weight on the worktop, keep within the stated load rating, keep fingers clear of the brackets when folding, and never stand or sit on the bench.
